The Denver Art Museum’s annual spring fundraising event, Uncorked, celebrated a milestone year on the picture-perfect evening of June 9, 2022. Ticket and table sales as well as an extraordinary silent auction raised significant funds for the Acquisitions Endowment, supporting the museum’s efforts to broaden its world-class collection.

As Event Chair Amanda J. Precourt said, the night was “all about the art!” Guests explored the outdoor spaces of the recently renovated Lanny & Sharon Martin Building during cocktail hour, set amongst the sculptures and augmented by live jazz and festive cocktails.

As the sun set, a multicourse dinner with wine pairings unfolded during the evening program in the dazzling new Sturm Grand Pavilion. The band Mama Magnolia provided the evening’s entertainment, made all the more festive with a “picnic-chic” theme complete with checkered tablecloths, market lights and garden-fresh flowers. The event concluded with dessert, coffee, and a wine bar under the stars (pictured). Uncorked was generously presented by Lanny and Sharon Martin, Amanda J. Precourt, UMB and Molly’s Spirits, and was led by an enthusiastic event committee. The 2022 event marked a new chapter for this beloved spring gathering, as the reimagined spaces warmly welcomed guests for an evening to remember, and as patrons came together for a high-impact fundraiser that will give great momentum to the museum’s future plans.
