A Feast of Tile

Designer Jennifer DesJardin incorporated nine different tiles in this Castle Pines master bath

"I absolutely love tile,” says designer Jennifer DesJardin. “From my perspective, it is an opportunity to create art in a bath.” In fact, she incorporated nine different tiles in this Castle Pines master bath (four are visible in this tub niche, above). The home, originally constructed for a 1989 Parade of Homes, was in dire need of an update—including the removal of steps from the bedroom to the bath and up again to the tub. Once the suite was all on the same level, she wrapped the room in her signature mixed palette of tiles, swapped the locations of the shower and tub, and added built-in storage. “Bathrooms should be a place to escape and should provide a lovely place to recharge,” DesJardin says. “This bath definitely gives the owners that ability.”
