Jeff Deutsch, founder of Artisan Rug Gallery, has been scouring the globe for over two decades to procure the finest hand-woven rugs made with the highest quality materials. He has traveled from the Andes to Central America and the Middle East to search for rugs woven with wool and silk. Today, Deutsch and his wife, Tiffany, continue to travel to learn about the art of making fine artisanal carpets and rugs. Each handcrafted rug at the gallery is individually selected for its superior quality and color mix from the creators of the rugs themselves. Deutsch says he sees a trend toward the traditional and vintage rugs in urban areas, and rugs with contemporary flair as a prominent choice for mountain homes. “That said, there are a lot of crossovers,” he points out. “All of our selections are high end wool and silk rugs, so the quality and craftsmanship are impeccable no matter the style.”
