The previously dark, cramped kitchen was opened up and treated to a fresh palette of white and blue. “These clients didn’t want a white kitchen,” says designer Megan Daughtry of Proud House Studio, noting that the home’s views inspired the hues. “The rusty color is in shrubbery and winterberries that go red, and the soft taupe of the upper cabinetry is similar to dried grasses in the foothills.” See more at Smitten With These Chic Kitchens

The kitchen was completely redesigned, and windows were added to make it a more functional and brighter space. The textured counter-to-ceiling Martyn Lawrence Bullard Mousharabia Fatima tiles from Ann Sacks add a fun pop against the Medallion cabinetry. Interior designer Nadia Watts and Diamond Homes completely redid this kitchen, removing the cramped center island and extending the counter in an L shape. They moved the sink to the opening that looks out onto the family room and put the range on the wall with a hood. “It’s a much more functional layout,” Watts says. “Before, there couldn’t be more than three people standing in the kitchen.” Watts chose Kashmir white granite for the countertops.
